The practice group includes: J. W. Ring, Karen Reed, Christine (Tina) Zemina, Travis Hall and Tina Dent. The geographic scope of the practice includes clients and matters in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, California, Nevada and periodically other States which have included Montana, Florida, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska and Hawaii. The subject matter scope of the practice includes all major federal and state environmental and natural resource regulatory schemes. The team has extensive experience in air quality, water quality, solid and hazardous waste, water rights, drinking water, wildlife/ endangered species, mining law, ocean law, toxic substances, California Proposition 65, environmental management systems and ISO certifications, federal and state green permitting, sustainability, state and federal environmental policy act (NEPA/SEPA) implementation, international environmental protocols and standards, and OSHA.

Our practice includes the representation of both public and private entities in new or expanded facility or infrastructure permitting, energy facility siting and permitting, regulated facility transfers, water rights applications and disputes, air permitting including PSD permitting, Superfund and state cleanup site representation, OSHA compliance, municipal drinking water and sewage treatment, wastewater and storm water discharge issues, the environmental aspects of real property transactions and mergers and acquisitions, the defense of regulatory and third party enforcement actions, toxic tort litigation and litigation under RCRA, CERCLA, the Endangered Species Act, the Clean Water Act, NEPA/SEPA, as well as issues arising under OSHA, real estate, water and mining law.
